Station: Sonoma Creek Aqua Caliente

Pictured above is a graph plotted from data from samples taken at the Aqua Caliente station in hydrologic years '02-'04, calculating the relationship between turbidity-meter reading (NTUs) and suspended sediment in mg/l from dried and weighed samples. This relationship allows us to continue monitoring of sediment using the less labor-intensive turbidity method. Since that graph was published we have collected more of both types of samples and plan to add them into the relationship equation to increase confidence in it.
