2004 Land Cover, Sonoma Creek Watershed, California

This land cover map of the Sonoma Valley watershed depicts different land covers throughout the Sonoma Valley. This data was developed to interpret the amount of impermeable surfaces throughout the valley. With this data it is possible to estimate the amount of runoff in the valley. This geodatabase feature class is an update of an earlier land cover geodatabase, which had been based on 1-meter greyscale aerial photography from the year 2000. The current shapefile is based on 24" resolution September 2004 color aerial photography. An update is planned, based on 2007 aerial photography.
